FAQ

  • How does the application process work?

All skaters interested in participating in the Spring/Summer 2025 camps must complete an application process. This ensures that each skater is placed in the appropriate group based on their current skill level, goals, and availability. The application form will gather details such as your current team, location, and specific areas of improvement.

  • When will my skater find out if they have been accepted?

You will be notified within 5-7 days after your application is submitted. We carefully review each application to ensure the best fit for our program and will contact you with the decision and further details.

  • Where will the camps be located?

Camps will be held at various arenas within the Twin Cities and the outskirts of the suburbs. Once your skater is approved, we will provide you with skating options most local to you based on your location.

  • What is the format of these camps?

The training process is designed for consistency and development. Camps will run for durations of 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 10 weeks, or 12 weeks, with skaters attending multiple sessions per week. It’s crucial that skaters commit to being as consistent as possible to maximize their progress and development.

  • What happens after my skater is accepted?

Once accepted, you will receive an email with detailed information about the available skating options, camp schedules, and next steps for registration. This will include payment instructions and any additional requirements.

  • What if my skater is not accepted?

If your skater is not accepted into the program, we will provide feedback and may suggest alternative training opportunities or future sessions that could be a better fit for their current skill level and goals.

  • Can my skater choose the camp location?

We do our best to accommodate location preferences based on the information provided in your application. Once approved, you will receive a list of available camps and locations.

  • What will the coach be focusing on during my skater’s training?

As your skater’s coach, I will be dedicated to assessing and enhancing their skating technique, strength, and overall performance on the ice. My focus will be on providing personalized feedback tailored to your skater’s specific needs and goals. Through hands-on instruction, I’ll guide them through custom exercises and drills designed to target their areas of improvement, while also reinforcing their strengths. My goal is to create a structured, engaging, and supportive environment that drives measurable progress and helps your skater reach their full potential. Whether it’s refining basic skills or pushing advanced techniques, I will be there to ensure that each session is productive, challenging, and aligned with their development goals.

  • What are the expectations for skaters during the camp?

Skaters are expected to be fully committed, focused, and respectful during all sessions. Consistent attendance is essential for optimal development. Any disruptive behavior or failure to meet expectations may result in removal from the program.

  • Is there any cost associated with submitting the application?

No, there is no fee to submit the application. However, upon acceptance, you will need to complete the registration and payment process to secure your spot in the camp.

  • How can I prepare my skater for the application process?

To prepare for the application, ensure that your skater has a clear understanding of their current skill level, their goals for the camp, and any specific areas they wish to focus on. This information will help in accurately completing the application and aligning expectations for the camp.
